Dr Raywat Deonandan is an award-winning Epidemiologist, educator and science communicator. He is an Associate Professor and the Assistant Director of the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa.

A former Chief Scientist with the federal government, Deonandan serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics. In 2016, he was awarded the OCUFA Teaching Award, Ontario’s highest teaching honour for university professors.  He also writes a regular blog for The Huffington Post Canada.
